BREAKING: DFA says Dems who trust GOP on TPA “deserve to lose their job, will make sure they do”

Ahead of today's second vote on Fast Track for the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership, Democracy for America wanted to make clear that it continues to stand by the very clear stakes it laid out for Democrats last week.

Statement from Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America:

"Once again, we urge all Democrats to vote NO on Fast Track for the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership.

"Americans have been exceedingly clear in their opposition to Fast Track for the job-killing TPP and the secret meetings, convoluted legislative votes, and open collusion with right-wing Republicans that the White House and others have sunk to in order to pass it are only proof of how deeply out of touch these Washington elites are with the rest of the country.

"It's downright absurd to trust Republicans who loathe Trade Adjustment Assistance to pass it, especially when hundreds of thousands of Americans will desperately need it when they lose their livelihood to the job-killing TPP.  Any Democrat in Congress who trusts John Boehner or Mitch McConnell to pass Trade Adjustment Assistance, that will actually help working families, deserves to lose their job.

"Whether it's this election cycle or election cycles to come, Democracy for America will actively search for opportunities to make sure they lose their jobs and are replaced with real Democrats committed to fighting growing income inequality, not enabling it." -- Jim Dean, Chair, Democracy for America
